Blissful

This darling little boy kitty was quite feral when he first came into my yard – and into my heart. Very slowly, with lots of gentle coaxing and food, I got him to come to me. Eventually he moved in and my other cat Major Grey didn’t seem to mind. ( Major Grey, by the way, had been a lost kitten that wandered into my life some years before.) I named this new little tom cat, Muffin. Well, it’s been a few years now, Muffin is being well fed and well loved. He’s safe and happy here. He no longer roams. He’s a funny, charming cat who’s become totally comfortable living here. He obviously...

Moonlight

Moonshine Reflections – Sandy Jones A glowing full moon tonight. I do love the moonlight. It is a gentle, serene and soothing illumination. It’s soft touch whispers over us like a mother singing a lullaby to her child. Feelings, comforting, loving feelings, how amazing our feelings are. Where do all these wonders of life come from? Endless, rich and mysteriously far beyond the limits of the intellect. All so much more, so deep like a fathomless, infinite sea.  Is it all inside of me, the universe entire? I do think it might be. Especially magical it is to be in garden when the...

Dance

Joy Sings – Sandy Jones I trust that whatever unfolds out there on the political scene, will eventually lead to something good, sooner or later. As for me, I’ll keep my own council and stay with what I know to be right in my own heart. Which is, that I am at peace, that something wonderful is being this life I am. That I have found an immediate and unfluctuating love. That’s enough for me. It’s my very identity, I feel this delightful childlike wonder within me. I feel an optimistic joy in this world of mine. I have sprung up from a genuine root made of love. A tree...

Naturally

The old bastard, that’s what William Samuel calls the ego.  I love that. I love the unpretentious nature of the way he writes and speaks – he speaks to the heart of us, the real of us that does understand. Bill would make me laugh so much. No wonder he became my philosophical, spiritual mentor.  And his honesty, how much I love that raw, fresh, living force of “Yes!” – Ahhh the feeling, the sweet knowing, being touched by the Truth, Something Real dawns with a clarity so gentle, so easy to know. Sweet Life. Blooming wonders, I see it all unfolding as joyful...

Full Circle

Yes, it is the love of love that inspires me. The pinks and greens of happiness, the poetic passions of deep dark magenta, the heavenly blue, the wisp of white, the colors of light. This heart of mine is gentle, soft, agile and easy. I see no reason to do battle with this marvelous world of mine. Love goes so very  deep. My heart is open and I’m touched by the clear, fresh joy of it all.  I’m riding on through, feeling the wild winds blow, viable, lifting me up.  Life is illimitable, infinite, so much grander and bigger, greater than me.  Such is this divine, resplendent, gift of...

Independence Day

Joyful Balance – Sandy Jones 4th of July, Independence Day. It reminds me that this country is made of strong, self-reliant, intelligent individuals. We are free people, independent thinkers, each of us quite capable of making things work for ourself. Tough and brave, bold and sassy individuals, we don’t get knocked down easily. As sovereign individuals and free-thinkers, we know that the very fact of being alive is risky. And I keep in mind that this sovereignty is reflected in our Constitution. Yes, Life is beautiful, but we know it also challenges us all, every one of us, in all...
